Understanding and Complying with New U.S. Requirements When Doing Business in China

Join Fredrikson and the Minnesota International Business Council for an upcoming webinar focusing on current issues facing multinational companies doing business in China. We will feature the perspectives of experts with over 50 years of on-the-ground experience as long-term professionals in China. We will address to what extent and whether it is feasible or even desirable to decouple from China completely. We will also address recent developments in legal requirements related to doing business in China, including enhanced export controls and recent US restrictions targeting direct investment in certain semiconductor chip and AI technology businesses in China. This discussion features Francis Bassolino, the Founder and Managing Partner of Alaris Consulting, along with Michael Meagher, Chief Representative of Fredrikson’s Shanghai office. The discussion will be moderated by Bob Oberlies, Co-Chair of Fredrikson’s Cross-Border M&A Practice and Chair of Fredrikson’s Asia Practice Group.
